A truly old school mixer actually used to prepare “Lost In Time” DJ mix made from K7 tapes and more generally to keep under hands any vintage gear equipped with DIN connections.

I’ve found that mixer at Cash Converters, a second hand shop and paid only 3,90 euros!

The mixer offers 6 DIN inputs :

Microphone 1

Microphone 2

Phono 1 (with Mag/Cer switch)

Phono 2 (with Mag/Cer switch)

Tape/Tuner 1

Tape/Tuner 2

The mixer offers 1 DIN Output simply called “Output”.

The “Mag/Cer” switch on phono inputs is referring to vintage vinyl cartridges, magnetic or ceramic.

The mixer provides Pan and Tone control controls for both Microphone 1 & 2 inputs.

There are two vu-meters (Stereo – Left/Right) and a big knob to select which source should drives the vu-meters (Microphone, Phono 1, Phono 2, Tape/Tuner 1, Tape/Tuner 2, Output).

Two more knobs are finally active on the final output, “Stereo-Base” and “Level”.

There is as well a headphone socket under the “Power” knob.

A pretty basic mixer without EQ or effects sends/returns… Nothing else than DIN connections but a real charm, a pretty descent sound, a very vintage aesthetic, I just love it!

9633 Sound Design can record and archive / transfer many supports to digital files, pricing depends on the original support length, time duration and delivery date.
